Most people book 1 course & 1 campaign! Some people spend the whole month of May with OHANA.

• Why are we doing this course?

To generate funds to neuter and treat street animals, and pets from low-income families in Latin America. The organiser and the speaker are working pro-bono. 

​

• What is included in the ticket?

- 6 nights in traditional hotels

- 13h of RACE-approved CE/CPD

- CE/CPD certificate

- breakfasts, lunches, coffee breaks (vegetarian)

- airport transfers on 16 May and 22 May

- transport for activities

- tours

- entry in Machu Picchu, Corikancha, Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Pinkuylluna and Ollantaytambo (mostly from the 15th century!)

- 24h onsite and online support

• What is not included in the ticket?

- flights

- dinners (so you can eat whatever you want)

- guided hike Inca Trail & Machu Picchu (£120) - optional*

*Inca Trail: 7.5h (12km) guided hike from km104 through the mountains, then a 1.5h guided tour inside Machu Picchu. One of the most unforgettable hikes in the world, through sacred mountains! You can only enter the sacred mountains with a guide, tickets are limited and sell out months in advance. No extra cost if you get to Machu Picchu by bus (instead of hiking).

• Do you need to organise anything?

Only flights. OHANA organises everything else (local taxis, food, hotels, tours...)

• What is the the program?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

16 May: meet in Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

17 May: sightseeing in Cusco, course in PM

18 May: sightseeing in Cusco, course in PM

19 May: course

20 May: visit Inca sites in villages of the Sacred Valley

21 May: hike the Sacred Valley, tour in Machu Pichu (one of the 7 wonders of the world)

22 May: visit Pinkuylluna​

Limited to a small number of participants, to ensure you are comfortable asking all the questions you could never ask in conferences with hundreds of people, and foster meaningful friendships!​​​​

• I am not a vet, vet nurse, tech or student, can I join? Can I bring my partner, family or friends?

Yes! Non-vet professionals are always welcome in our courses/missions. Join us for every breakfast, lunch, dinner and activities, and enjoy sightseeing in Cusco while we are in lectures. The cost and principle are the same for everyone, the ticket covers your expenses and a donation towards the neuter campaigns.​​​​​​

• Room options:​​​

Shared room: share with 1 person in Cusco (4 nights) and 2 people in Ollantaytambo (2 nights), private bathroom - from £1450 /person

​Private room for 2 people: double bed, private bathroom, room with a VIEW - from £1650 /person

​Private room for 1 person: double bed, private bathroom, room with a VIEW - from £2200​

👉 These reduced prices apply if you register with a friend, or attend another OHANA course/campaign between Nov 2024 & Nov 2027; otherwise, otherwise, it's £1600, 1800 and 2350 in a room for 3p, 2p and 1p, respectively. If you want to lower the cost, invite a friend :) ​​​​​

 

👉 The hotels don't have single rooms - this explains the increased cost of a private room, as we could be selling two tickets instead of one. You might have reservations about sharing, but this always resolves after the first night (participants become friends soon after the trip starts and spend little time in the room).

• Where can I see footage from previous courses?

Our courses are LOTS OF FUN and always sell out. View footage in the highlight folders of our instagram @ohana.animalcharity.​

• Are the tickets or deposit refundable?

They are not, as we had to pay expenses in advance and these are not refundable to us. But you can transfer the ticket to a friend, so your money won't be lost! Remember all money received will be used to treat and neuter strays.

• What are the payment options?

Google pay, debit card or transfer. See the details to transfer. We reserve your place once full payment is received. For bookings in private rooms, it may be possible to split into two payments upon request.

• Flights:

The nearest airport is Cusco - direct flights only from some South American cities, so you typically have to fly to Lima first, then to Cusco. Check flights to Lima on www.skyscanner.net and see all direct flights here (from LA, Atlanta, NY, Houston, Madrid...). If you have difficulties finding flights, you can ask a travel agent to find them for you; we are experienced travelers and can help those who bought a course ticket.
