Learning objectives:
Because the course is highly practical, attending on 4-5 May will give you the confidence to perform abdominal ultrasound, even if you don't have prior experience! Straight away, you can provide better care for your patients. And you have an immediate new source of income, which will get you back your investment pretty fast!

If you want to develop more advanced skills after the 4-5 May, or if you are already experienced in abdominal ultrasound, you should attend 8-9 May. You will learn how to perform advanced ultrasound of the abdomen, vessels (find that portosystemic shunt!), thoracic POCUS, neck (thyroid and parathyroid), fine-needle aspirates and more. A ticket can be shared by 2 colleagues.

Who can attend:
Vets, vet nurses/techs and students. We are excited to see more and more nurses/techs doing ultrasound (just like in human medicine!)

Why are we doing this course?
To fundraise for a local dog shelter ('Associação Midas') and for a mission in S. Tomé e Príncipe (Africa). Organisers and speakers are volunteering their time and expertise, and 100% of the profit from the course will be used to improve animal welfare. Although the second smallest country in Africa is paradise for the humans who visit, it's hell for dogs and cats, and also not so great for the communities living there. We really want to change that! We will teach children in schools how to treat animals better, and organise a sterilisation/deworming campaign. I cannot unsee the extreme animal suffering that I saw, and I cannot abandon those animals - if you can't join the Ultrasound Course, please help these animals by sharing the course with your vet colleagues.

Thank you!
We are beyond grateful for the support offered by Dr Montenegro (director of Hospital de Referência Veterinária Montenegro). A great vet who cares about helping the communities in developing countries and their animals! If you would like to donate to this mission, click here. If you would like to sponsor the ultrasound course or the mission, please email us to find out the benefits we can offer you!

Where can I see footage from previous courses?

Are the tickets or deposit refundable?
They are not, as we had to pay expenses in advance and these are not refundable to us. But you can transfer the ticket to a friend, so your money won't be lost! And remember that all money received will be used to help shelter and street animals.

-
What are the payment options?
Google pay, debit card or transfer. A bank transfer results in more money for the animals because there are no online fees. We can reserve a ticket when you pay a 50% deposit.
